Grassroots Endowment Challenge

There has never been a better time to build a charitable endowment fund.

From 2008 to 2001, the government will uplift endowment donations by 100% plus the usual tax reliefs, to help build a significant new £3.6m endowment for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight - for local grassroots giving, for generations to come.The Hampshire and Isle of Wight community Foundation has been chosen to deliver this new programme, with its track record of both high quality grant making to where funds are most needed in the county, and professional management of charitable giving for both individuals and businesses. The office of the Third sector has allocated £1.8m to Hampshire and the Isle of Wight for both a small grants programme and an incentivised endowment challenge so that grant-making can continue in perpetuity. 

For every £1 of endowment donations that Hampshire and the isle of Wight can raise from local businesses and individuals, the Government will match-fund by £1.
