We are an independent charitable Foundation that connects donors to the local causes and charities they care about, and we have built investments totalling £11 million for the long term benefit of local communities across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

We specialise in awarding grants to smaller, lesser known charities and community groups who offer the support, services and activities that can really make a difference to local people's lives.

Over the past eight years we have distributed more than £7.3 million in small grants to support over 2,000 community projects for local people of all ages.

Surviving _Winter _logo _final

help keep older and vulnerable people warm this winter

HIWCF are asking people to donate their 'Winter Fuel Payment' if they are able, or to simply make a much needed donation to help out those older people vulnerable to fuel poverty in our local communities.

All funds raised are recycled directly to those most in need of help, to ensure they can afford to stay warm, eat well and remain mobile during the coldest months, as well as providing practical help to assist with attending doctors' appointments, essential shopping visits and maintaining an active social life helping to prevent loneliness and isolation.

For some people it is a choice between eating a meal or heating their home and HIWCF encourages people to donate generously to the Surviving Winter Campaign via The Big Give:
