Grassroots Endowment Challenge

There has never been a better time to build a charitable endowment fund

The Office of the Third Sector has allocated £1.8m to Hampshire and the Isle of Wight for both a small grants programme and an incentivised Grassroots Endowment Challenge so that local grant-making can continue in perpetuity.

From 2008 to 2011, the Government will uplift endowment donations by 100% plus the usual tax reliefs, to help us build a significant £3.6m endowment for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight - for local charitable giving.

For every £1 of endowment donations that Hampshire and the Isle of Wight can raise from local businesses and individuals, the Government will match-fund by £1.
