20 January 2012 - New Fund Open

HIWCF and Sport Relief Community Cash are pleased to announce a fund has opened to distribute £50,000 in grants of between £500 and £1,000 to local charities and community groups working in disadvantaged or deprived areas of Winchester, Eastleigh, Southampton, New Forest, Gosport, Fareham and the Isle of Wight.  Click on the 'Apply for a Grant' box now to be in with a chance to share in this bumper cash giveaway.

19 January 2012 - Surviving Winter Appeal

2nd February 2012 - Localgiving.com

54 Hampshire-based voluntary groups have now joined Localgiving.com and are ready to receive your donations.  Christmas Match Funding reached its target and our groups have received almost £6,000!!!

We specialise in awarding grants to smaller, lesser known charities and community groups. We believe these groups offer the support, services and activities that can really make a difference to local people's lives. In 2010 we distributed over £1 million in small grants, on behalf of our Fund Holders, to more than 500 community groups and charities across the County. We are proud to have made a difference to the lives of over 200,000 people living in our local communities. 

We strive to be the best organisation in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to convert a Philanthropist's gift into an investment in their Community. A gift may be well received but an investment yields positive returns to the whole Community, now and in years to come.
